Yesterday I revisited 2nd adhyaya of Bhagwadgeeta, through my beloved friend - Nisha Channe's blog. She is the youngest individual to write Shrimad Bhagwadgeeta-according to today's era. If you wish to visit her blog ,just click here
Coming back to the point,I personally feel 2nd adhyaya of Bhagwadgeeta is important. In this adhyaya is where Arjuna expressed his dillemas regarding the kurukshetra yuddha. He expressed his fears regarding losing his own kins, and hence wanted to back off from the fight. Here shri krishna played a role of counsellor in the life of Arjuna. He guided him from confusion towards a conclusion. And that is why I felt to write a blog on decision making.
Decision making is one among the most important skill,an individual must have.
Many a times we have dillemas just like Arjuna had, whether to do or not to do.
Should I take this course or should I not? Should I talk about it or should I not? Should I do this or not? Will it be appropriate ? What will my family say? Many questions pop up when we think about a particular subject.
Day before yesterday I saw an Ad on Social Media about an advance course in Drawing and sketching in just ₹750/-. So, I was talking to my mom and dad about taking an advance course in drawing and sketching.(Because I love being creative, and who would reject this offer!) And I was having dilemmas regarding that whether it will help me or not ,etc.
At that time my mom and dad gave me 3 effective tips to make almost any decision which made me tension free!
So here are those three tips:
◆ Never think emotionally!: Yes the first and foremost tip which she gave was never think emotionally. Emotional decisions may work or not, but logical always will.
For eg: in the above discussion she told me that just because you like being creative you are choosing this course. But will you be able to manage your bothsided career (psychologist and sketching artist) later? To which I answered 'obviously not'!
Hence doing the course would be a total loss of money.
◆ Make paper-pen your best friends!:
Make use of paper-pen while making any decision. In fact planning on paper is the biggest way of killing anxiety, as we have discussed an amazing quality of brain in the previous blog of:
Using paper-pen can activate your logical brain and you might take your decision more wisely and faster with clarity.
◆Think fast forward:
Have you seen the 10sec forward option on YouTube ? Same option we have to apply in our decision making process.
Think what will this decision bring 10-15 years later in your life, will that decision contribute something positive in your life?
If yes ,go for it!!
So these were my sharings and learnings regarding decision making.
Do you have some sharings regarding decision making too?
Then please comment those sharing in the comment box!
I'll be glad to see them and all our reader friends will also get some tips regarding. So keep sharing,
Because sharing is caring !!
Thank You!!
